Lokring Advantage - Coupling Installation


Developed for the Apollo I: Saturn Mission in 1968, the Lokring joint has a long history of success. Our products for pipe fittings are qualified to the
ASME B31 standard pressure piping codes for pressure and fatigue design, as well as fabrication and materials of construction.

Extensive mechanical and environmental testing have demonstrated the mechanical and sealing integrity of the Lokring-Coldweld™ connection in a wide range of applications.

These strict standards mean that Lokring has created the most reliable connection in the marketplace.


Lokring-Coldweld™ takes minutes to install compared to a weld. Our fittings typically are used in locations where fire-safe conditions must be maintained.

By using a cold weld, installation is safer. The strength of the metal-to-metal seal means that historical rework rates for Lokring fittings are less than 0.01% of all installations compared to 5% to 10% for welded installations.
